Lady Gaga brings the drama to the stage and screen
The Mayhem Ball tour, which debuted in July in Las Vegas, has been praised for its best art direction, featuring theatrical elements, dark artistic touches, and choreography by Goebel that rivals professional theater productions.
Throughout the performance, the dynamic Gaga commands attention as the show’s focal point, delivering powerhouse renditions of hits like “Born This Way” and “Poker Face,” while showcasing numerous tracks from her “Mayhem” album, including the energetic “Abracadabra” and rhythmic “Killah.”

While Gaga seamlessly incorporates her theatrical talents into her concerts, particularly during an emotional performance of “Shallow,” she recently demonstrated her versatility in a guest appearance on Netflix’s popular series “Wednesday.”
Her cameo coincided with the release of “The Dead Dance,” her new retro-inspired electronic track, now available on the digital version of “Mayhem” and featuring a music video directed by Tim Burton.
Lady Gaga’s Mayhem Ball production team has spared no expense in creating an immersive experience for fans. The elaborate stage design features multiple moving platforms, state-of-the-art lighting systems, and custom-built props that transform the arena into Gaga’s artistic vision. Production designer LeRoy Bennett, known for his work with Prince and Nine Inch Nails, collaborated closely with Gaga to create what industry insiders are calling “the most visually ambitious tour of the year.” The technical aspects alone required an additional two weeks of rehearsal time compared to her previous tours.

Fans who attended the initial Las Vegas shows have been sharing their experiences across social media, with many describing the concert as “life-changing” and “worth every penny.” Several viral TikTok videos have captured the audience’s emotional reactions during Gaga’s performance of “Always Remember Us This Way,” where she delivers a stripped-down piano rendition surrounded only by floating candles. The tour’s merchandise line has also generated significant buzz, with the limited edition “Mayhem” leather jacket selling out within minutes at each venue, prompting the addition of more premium collectibles for the expanded tour dates.
