During a video on X, the presidential candidate shared that he and his companions believed that the bizarre incident, which amounted to a prank of bear in central park in New York City, would be amusing.
On Sunday, Bobby Kennedy Jr. uploaded a strange video on his Twitter account (@RobertKennedyJr) confessing that he had disposed of a deceased bear cub in Central Park, New York ten years ago. RFK Jr** also revealed that he had manipulated the scene to make it seem like the RFK Jr bear cub was hit by a cyclist, staging a high-speed collision.
The footage was purportedly a response to counter an upcoming New Yorker story that he anticipated would bring negative media attention to the RFK Jr news.

During the video, the presidential candidate is conversing with actress Roseanne Barr where he shares a personal experience from a falconry expedition in New York’s Hudson Valley. RFK Jr recalls encountering a young bear cub that had been struck and killed by another driver, leaving a carcass on the road, essentially roadkill.
The Discovery of the Bear Cub
The dead bear was discovered in a clump of bushes by a dog in 2014, sparking a mystery that captured the entire city’s attention. The lifeless body of the bear cub was found in Central Park, New York City.
During that period, Florence Slatkin, a resident in the vicinity of the park, mentioned that her friend’s terrier had noticed an object close to a bicycle on the floor.
According to the Associated Press, she initially believed the object to be a bag of clothes or possibly a deceased dog.

Upon approaching, they soon discovered it was a miniature bear, its mouth agape and noticeable scratches on its side.
Upon the arrival of police, they noticed that the bear cub had suffered injuries to its body. However, the cause of death remained unknown, leading to a long-standing investigation that remained unsolved until Sunday when the RFK Jr news broke.
During the video, RFK Jr explains that he collected the wildlife animal’s remains and placed them inside his vehicle, with the intention of eating bear meat by skinning and consuming it at a later time, perhaps at Peter Luger Steakhouse. Unfortunately, due to time constraints, Robert Kennedy Jr could not transport the bear back to his home before he needed to catch a flight out of New York City.

According to RFK Jr, he and his companions, some of whom had consumed alcohol, devised a plan to use an old bike he had in his van to stage the scene of the bear’s death in Central Park. They aimed to make it seem like the RFK Jr bear cub had been struck by a bike, taking advantage of the recent surge in bicycle accidents in New York.

The following day, RFK Jr told Barr that the bear news was broadcast on every TV channel in New York City. Bobby Kennedy Jr. was shocked and exclaimed, “I can’t believe this. What have I done?”
