Ryan Gosling returns to Saturday Night Live for his fourth hosting appearance, promoting his sci-fi film “Project Hail Mary” alongside musical guests Gorillaz.
Ryan Gosling, star of the upcoming sci-fi movie “Project Hail Mary,” will take the stage to host Saturday Night Live for the fourth time on the March 7 episode. This appearance comes just days after his previous hosting gigs, as Gosling has hosted three times before.
He is appearing on the show to promote his latest sci-fi movie “Project Hail Mary,” which is set to hit theaters on March 20.
Joining him as the musical guest is Gorillaz, an animated band and British band led by Damon Albarn. Formed in 1998, Gorillaz has achieved global popularity and will be making their debut as guest performers on SNL. They plan to play songs from their ninth studio album “The Mountain,” coming out on Feb. 27, just days after its release.
As for the March 14 episode of SNL, both the host and the musical guest are still unknown.

The February 28 episode of SNL will include “Heated Rivalry” star Connor Storrie as the host. Mumford & Sons will perform as guest performers, as was already announced.
Saturday Night Live began its 51st season in October 2025, continuing to break streaming records. Bad Bunny hosted the first episode. Before this season started, the show had some major cast changes. SNL vets Ego Nwodim and Heidi Gardner left, along with newer members Devon Walker, Emil Wakim, and Michael Longfellow. John Higgins also left the show. Meanwhile, Ben Marshall from “Please Don’t Destroy” became part of the main cast, and Martin Herlihy shifted to writing.

Tommy Brennan, Jeremy Culhane, Kam Patterson, and Veronika Slowikowska joined the lineup as new faces. Bowen Yang, another SNL vet, wrapped up his eight-year run partway through the season after co-hosting alongside his “Wicked” castmate Ariana Grande.
SNL airs on NBC every Saturday night at 11:30 p.m. ET, showcasing its enduring global popularity. Lorne Michaels is both the show’s creator and its executive producer, with Broadway Video handling production. Fans can get weekly rundowns of the show’s highlights and guest performers across various platforms, solidifying its place in pop culture.
