Steve Martin, alongside co-stars Martin Short and Selena Gomez, delighted fans on Wednesday, Aug. 13, with the highly anticipated trailer release for season five of Hulu’s beloved mystery series “Only Murders In The Building.” The two-minute preview introduces viewers to the latest victim at The Arconia, the upscale Upper West Side apartment building – Lester the doorman, whose death sets the stage for another thrilling investigation by our favorite amateur sleuths Charles Haden-Savage (Steve Martin), Oliver Putnam (Martin Short), and Mabel Mora (Selena Gomez).

The upcoming season promises to entangle our podcast-hosting trio in “an intricate maze of secrets linking wealthy tycoons, traditional crime families, and the enigmatic inhabitants of the Arconia” as they work to uncover the truth behind his death. The star-studded guest roster this season features acclaimed actors including Christoph Waltz, Keegan-Michael Key, Dianne Wiest, Renée Zellweger, and Téa Leoni among others.

The season premiere is scheduled for Sept. 9.

Steve Martin/Martin Short “SNL50” monologue

Opening “SNL50” required exceptional finesse. The perfect host needed to deliver sharp wit while bridging classic comedy with contemporary humor. Steve Martin emerged as the natural choice for this momentous monologue.

Delivering a masterful seven-minute performance alongside John Mulaney, Martin Short, and others, Martin crafted memorable quips about “the Gulf of Steve Martin” and humorously noted how “someone born during ‘Saturday Night Live’s’ first season could now have died of natural causes.”

In March of last year, Apple TV released “STEVE! (martin) a documentary in 2 pieces.”

This two-part documentary explores Martin’s journey from his early career as an aspiring magician through his rise to comedy stardom, followed by his successful transition to acting, his late-in-life marriage, and his ongoing touring partnership with close friend Martin Short.
