Fans of the Marty Supreme star have spent months wondering if he is the masked rapper EsDeeKid. EsDeeKid known for performing as a Liverpool rapper, keeps all personal details hidden. This buzzing theory based on uncertain rumors, has kicked off an online frenzy among fans and amateur TikTok sleuths.
On Thursday, Dec. 11, while promoting his new movie on the UK radio show Heart Breakfast, Chalamet, who is 29, was asked straight out if he was living a double life as EsDeeKid. His answer wasn’t clear and left listeners puzzled as he addressed the topic.

“I don’t have anything to say about this. , I’ve got no comment,” he said while addressing the rumors for the first time.
When the Heart Radio team pointed out the physical resemblance between Chalamet and EsDeeKid, like their matching eyes and the iconic skull scarf both had worn, the actor stayed and reserved.
“I’ll just say two things,” he began, his words a bit shaky before he grinned . “Two things: Everything will come to light when the time is right. Okay maybe that’s a little more than just two things!”
Chalamet also brought up his childhood rap name Lil Timmy Tim referring to a famous 2012 video of him rapping at his New York high school event.
“Trust me, Lil Timmy just doesn’t hit the same,” he said adding more fuel to the fan theory.

People started speculating earlier this year about a connection between Chalamet and EsDeeKid. This was due to their similar eyes and other shared looks, like both being spotted with the same scarf at separate events. The buzz grew stronger when the actor showed up at a Fakemink London show in August. This was interesting because Fakemink works with EsDeeKid on the track “LV Sandals.”
EsDeeKid keeps a low profile always hiding his face and stating he’s from Liverpool. His first album, Rebel, came out in June and garnered over 11 million streams on Spotify. Nobody knows his real identity or age. This Merseyside rapper has also scored hits on the UK Top 40 boosting his fame even further.
Timothée Chalamet has often shared his love for hip-hop and rap throughout his career. He’s named artists like Kid Cudi and Nicki Minaj as some of his top picks. In 2020, he joined Pete Davidson on Saturday Night Live to play a rapper character called $mokecheddathaassgetta in a sketch.
He is now on a worldwide press tour to promote his new movie, Marty Supreme, which will hit theatres on December 25. This movie adds to the list of major roles that show the actor’s talent in taking on different kinds of characters.

At the Los Angeles premiere of the movie on December 8, he showed up with his girlfriend Kylie Jenner. Both of them wore matching orange outfits that grabbed everyone’s attention on the red carpet.
